Modded PS2 Fat with FreeHDBoot - OPL - PSBBN

The most complete mod for the PlayStation 2 Fat: FreeHDBoot installed directly on the internal hard drive, with Open PS2 Loader (OPL) and PSBBN (PlayStation Broadband Navigator) already configured. The console is ready to use: switch it on and your games boot from the hard drive, with no boot memory card, no discs and no modchip.

This modded PS2 lets you:

• boot PS2 games directly from the internal hard drive (no loading from DVD);
• boot PS1 games via POPStarter;
• boot games from a USB stick or over the network (SMB) via OPL;
• use homebrew, retro emulators and apps;
• manage your game library with cover art and a graphical menu;
• back up your original games to the hard drive (using the included apps);
• and much more.

What is FreeHDBoot

FreeHDBoot (FHDB) is the evolution of FreeMcBoot: instead of being installed on a memory card, it is written to the internal hard drive. The console boots straight into the modded menu every time it is switched on, leaving both memory card slots free for saves. It works on all PS2 Fat consoles fitted with a Network Adapter.

What is OPL (Open PS2 Loader)

Open PS2 Loader is the app that boots PS2 games from hard drive, USB or network. It supports almost the entire PS2 library and includes game cover art, cheat support, compatibility patches and widescreen mode (GSM). The console is delivered with the latest stable version of OPL, already configured.

What is PSBBN

PSBBN is Sony's official hard drive interface, brought back to life by the community: a modern graphical menu with icons, cover art and automatic organisation of PS2, PS1 and homebrew games. It is the nicest and most convenient way to use a PS2 with a hard drive, and on this console it comes pre-installed and configured alongside OPL.
