We reply by email within 24-48 working hours with the valuation as credit to spend on our website. No obligation, no pressure.

3. 📦 Free shipping

If you accept the valuation, we arrange free home pickup by express courier. You'll receive an email with all the packing instructions (see also our packing guide).

4. 🎁 Receive your store credit

When we receive the console, we check the declared condition. If everything matches, you'll receive the voucher code by email for the valuation amount, ready to use immediately on ConsoleModding.it.

Broken or faulty consoles: we still value them

We also accept consoles with problems! Examples:

How can I request a valuation?

There is only one procedure: send an email to usato@consolemodding.it filling in the template you'll find further up in this article and attaching photos of the console. Requests via WhatsApp or to other email addresses are not assessed, because the process is handled by a dedicated team that works only on this channel.

Can I message on WhatsApp for a valuation?

No, WhatsApp is our main channel for general support and orders, but used console valuations are handled exclusively by email at usato@consolemodding.it. This lets us organise requests in a structured way and reply to everyone quickly.

Can I write to info@consolemodding.it for a valuation?

No, info@consolemodding.it is also reserved for other requests. For used console valuations use only usato@consolemodding.it.

What should I include in the email?

All the information in the template you'll find in the article: personal details, console details (type, model, year), working condition, cosmetic condition, accessories included, photos and additional notes. The more details you give us, the more accurate the valuation will be.

How do I attach photos to the email?

You can attach the photos directly to the email (if they're small, max 25MB in total) or upload them to Google Drive, WeTransfer or Imgur and send us the shared link. We need clear photos of: front, back, sides and the screen switched on (if the console powers on).

Can I be paid in cash, by bank transfer or via PayPal?

No. The valuation amount is issued exclusively as store credit/a voucher that can be used on ConsoleModding.it. We do not pay out in cash, by bank transfer or via PayPal.

Does the credit expire?

The voucher is valid for 24 months from the date of issue. During that period you can use it whenever you like, across the entire catalogue.

Can I use the credit over several orders?

Yes, if the credit isn't all used in a single purchase, the remaining balance stays available on your account for future orders.

Can I combine the credit with other current promotions?

Generally yes: the credit can be combined with standard discounts and promotions. For special promotions with their own conditions, check the notes on the promotion page.

Do you also value modded consoles?

Yes! In fact, professionally modded consoles (PS3 CFW, Xbox 360 RGH, PS Vita Henkaku, etc.) get slightly higher valuations because they are more in demand on the second-hand market.

Do I need to include the original box?

It isn't mandatory, but if you have it, it increases the valuation. The same goes for the instruction booklet and original accessories (headset, cables, etc.). List them in the "Accessories included" section of the email.

What if the console has scratches or cosmetic damage?

Surface scratches don't make much difference. Significant cosmetic damage (cracks, dents) reduces the valuation compared with the "perfect condition" price. Describe it honestly in the "Cosmetic condition" section of the email.

Can I also trade in games and accessories?

Yes, we also value original games (especially sought-after ones), pro controllers (DualSense Edge, Elite Controller), gaming headsets, eXtremeRate kits and various modchips. List them in the "Other accessories included" section or add a separate section to the email.

What if I don't agree with the valuation?

No problem: the valuation is free and with no obligation. If you're not happy with it, we won't proceed with the pickup.

Can I trade in my console and buy a modded console?

Absolutely, it's the most common use case! Example: trade in your old PS4 and use the credit to buy a ready-to-use modded PS5 or a PS3 mod. Turn a console you no longer use into a new gaming experience.

Do you also accept consoles from smaller brands (Sega, Atari, etc.)?

Yes, we also value non-mainstream retro consoles: Sega Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Game Gear, Master System; Atari 2600, Lynx; Neo Geo; PC Engine; Commodore. List them in your email; valuations depend on rarity and condition.

How do I receive the voucher code?

By email, right after we check the console on arrival. The code is applied at checkout on ConsoleModding.it in the "Discount code/gift card" field.

How long until I get a reply after sending the email?

Our valuation arrives by email within 24-48 working hours. If you haven't received a reply, check your spam folder and make sure you sent the email to usato@consolemodding.it (not another address).
